Blog Post 35 - Cast List

For another post on my instagram, I decided to do a cast list. So how are cast lists usually formatted? Doing a quick google search, text only cast lists are usually split down the middle, with once side having the names of the characters, and the other having the names of the actors. From what I saw, characters typically go on the left, and actors on the right.

Going onto Canva, I made the background color the Fluffles Productions lavender in order for it to blend in with the logo in the corner. The Kylie-Cat logo is used on top, and I made the actor text rainbow to match with the rainbow part of the title. Its at this moment where I realize I forgot to mention an actor in my blog before this point. Oops! In my story board, the way we get introduced to Charlotte is with her speaking to her mom. This is the only part featuring the mom character, but she’s still a character nonetheless. Charlotte’s mom will be played by my own mom. Not only will she fit the role appearance wise, is already a mom,  but she also played my character’s mom in my last project, so she’s got the role down.

Another feature I decided to add was contact information in the form of an email address. In concept, Fluffles Productions would have been scouting out actors + auditions, and this would be their way of knowing whether they got the part or not. While I did make my friends audition, they are obviously still my friends, and don’t need to rely on a casting list. Though, this casting list does act as credit for my actors, and lets the world know who will be working on set before the film even comes out. Its also a thank you to them for auditioning and doing a great job.

Again, I used my company and title tags to keep up with my brand, as well as a tag for cast list this time.
