Ignoring the fact I still don’t exactly know how the human body moves, I'll be explaining my storyboard for my second scene.
From where we left off, the scene cuts to an establishing shot of the mall/outlets to show off the new location and set the new atmosphere. Afterwards, we see our main character again, Kylie. The camera tracks her from behind as she follows after her group of friends. A change in angle, the camera now facing the side, its clear that Kylie is just a bit too far behind from the group to seem included. She’s not actively trying to exclude herself though, as she’s visibly trying to watch what her friends are doing to see where she can speak up and add to the chat. Its loud in the mall though. Loud enough for her to not be able to properly hear her friends.
The shot changes to a POV shot through Kylie’s eyes as her gaze shifts around the mall and constantly back to her friends. Eventually, still through a POV shot, that friend that originally planed the hangout/the one Kylie was on the phone with earlier calls out her silence and awkwardness, asking whats up with her today. Kylie, internally panicking, worried about saying the wrong thing and causing a scene in the middle of the mall, does her best to explain how she’s feeling, how she’s still upset about it being a last minute event, and how the general environment is more overwhelming than usual due to the existing stress she already has, but she ends up stumbling over her words, simply stating she’s not feeling good and that she’s sorry. This takes place during a conversation between the two friends, which is shown visually with back and forth over-the-shoulder shots between them.
When the conversation ends and the friend walks off to join the rest of the group, something around a full or medium full shot is shown of Kylie, with her friends in the foreground. Kylie decides to pull out her AirPods to listen to some music. Hopefully she can just listen to a few songs to calm down, and then act like nothing happened and enjoy her day. Unfortunately for her, she soon realizes her earbuds aren’t on her. She must have left them at home. Thats when the real panic starts to set in.
